In the latest episode of the EDRM Illumination Zone, HaystackID Marketing team members Erin Meyer, Mary Bennett, and Jason Cassel joined EDRM’s CEO and Chief Legal Technologist, Mary Mack, and Chief Strategy Officer, Kaylee Walstad. The trio discussed their structured quality control (QC) process and how they use artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance what they do at scale. Throughout the episode, Erin, Mary, and Jason emphasized the importance of working together, combining their individual strengths, and avoiding silos to deliver impactful marketing content across various channels. Their approach enables creativity while ensuring their work aligns with company and department goals.
The conversation also covered the team’s adoption of AI over the past year. They highlighted how tools like MidJourney, ChatGPT, and Grammarly have enhanced their creative processes. From generating visual outputs to refining written content, AI has become valuable, helping the team create more targeted and efficient work. During the podcast, Meyer said, “Our team has spent a lot of time getting trained and learning how to use AI in our day-to-day work. AI tools have gone from being a ‘nice-to-have’ to a ‘must-have’ to complete tasks more efficiently and keep up with the velocity of the requests coming in.”
The team also emphasized the importance of a structured quality control (QC) process, particularly when incorporating AI into their work. Multiple layers of review ensure that all AI-generated or human-created content remains accurate, consistent, and aligned with HaystackID’s strategic messaging. This QC process also helps the team maintain high standards while efficiently managing the growing volume of marketing requests.
Erin, Mary, and Jason highlighted the critical importance of their multi-layered QC process to ensure that all collateral produced is accurate, timely, and aligned with the company’s strategic direction. They emphasized that while AI plays an integral role throughout their workflow, they are just as committed to applying rigorous QC to the AI itself and being thoughtful in how they use the technology. As Mary Bennett pointed out during the discussion, “Your [AI] output is only as good as the prompt.”
