Hal Brooks

Chief Executive Officer

Hal Brooks is an eDiscovery and litigation technology professional with more than 25 years’ experience. Having participated in the acquisition and growth of several industry-leading companies, Hal has helped businesses address challenges in the areas of litigation strategy and automated discovery processes.

In 1988, he started with Legal Copies International which grew to 26 cities and $100M a year in revenue as a supplier of onsite and offsite litigation support services. LCI was acquired by (Alco) Ikon Office Solutions in 1996. More recently, Hal invested in and served as a board member and consultant for such companies as OnSite Sourcing, DocuForce, Ve Discovery, Technology Assisted Review software startup OrcaTec, and most recently, Envision Discovery. At these companies, he served in leadership roles helping launch revolutionary technology platforms and directing key strategic business decisions.

Currently, Hal serves as the CEO of Haystack Holdings with the mission of helping HaystackID mobilize industry-leading computer forensics, eDiscovery, and attorney document review experts to accelerate and deliver quality outcomes in support of investigations and litigation at a fair and predictable price.


Andrea Wallack


Andrea Wallack is the President of HaystackID. As an experienced executive, Andrea leads teams that advise clients on global discovery, data privacy, and compliance matters using advanced technologies. Under her oversight, HaystackID helps global corporations and international law firms achieve their discovery management goals by providing comprehensive offerings that span the entire EDRM for customers in the US, EU and APAC.

Prior to joining HaystackID, Andrea was the CEO and Founder of NightOwl Global, one of the industry’s premiere legal enterprise solutions providers.

Andrea received her BS in Biology and Chemistry from Washington and Lee University and completed postgraduate work at Harvard University. She also obtained her field certification in Biology at the Darwin Research Centre in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She is a graduate of the Blake School.

Andrea is fluent in English, Spanish, and French and is an avid photographer and skier in her free time.


Andrew Parrish

Chief Operating Officer

Andrew Parrish has been working in the litigation support and discovery management fields for over 32 years, working closely with clients in the legal, commercial, and service bureau sectors to design, develop and implement tailored internal and external technology and process solutions that enable optimized efficiency, business risk reduction and improved customer experience. Leveraging the panoply of HaystackID’s digital forensics, managed review, data processing, and hosting technology tools and professionals, Mr. Parrish leads client due diligence and needs assessments, delivering bespoke outsourced solutions that drive greater cost savings and recovery while simultaneously improving client litigation stance and preparedness.

Prior to his current role, Mr.Parrish served as the SVP of Operations for HaystackID. In this role, he led the organization’s eDiscovery business line with responsibility for all aspects of client services, staff performance, and service delivery to HaystackIDs eDiscovery clients. Mr. Parrish also continues to serve as a sales engineer/consultant, assisting the HaystackID sales team with solution crafting, proposal and statement of work generation, formal deal review/pricing approval, and leading CLE and Lunch & Learn seminars.

Previously, Mr. Parrish served as Director of Client Services for HaystackID, responsible for all sales and operations for the company’s installed base/contract subscription client base and pursuits. Mr. Parrish served as the Director of Professional Services for Flex Discovery Solutions, which was later acquired by HaystackID. Previously, he served as Vice President of Litigation Support Operations for Uniscribe Professional Services, and later as Director of Litigation Support for Williams Lea. Mr. Parrish has led large outsourcing engagements involving all automated document management service lines across a global footprint and is a frequent speaker on digital forensics best practices, e-Discovery treatment methodologies, and review strategies associated with electronically stored information.

Mr. Parrish is based in Chicago and is a graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota with a degree in English.


Kris Taylor

Chief Revenue Officer

Kris Taylor serves as the Chief Revenue Officer for HaystackID. In this role, Kris oversees the company’s revenue streams, working closely with sales, marketing, and other departments to drive revenue growth and reduce risks to profitability. He works closely with the executive team and board of directors to develop growth strategies for pioneering new markets and competitive opportunities. Kris also leads the sales team to increase sales velocity through improved targeting, activity, or win rates by identifying and delivering new revenue opportunities in our market.


John Wilson

Chief Information Security Officer and President of Forensics

John Wilson is a highly motivated, strategic, results-oriented leader with over 20 years of experience in the information security and risk management field, focused on building strong security governance, policies and procedures, INFOSEC teams, providing expert leadership, and assisting diverse organizations with developing and defining enterprise-level information security programs which balance strong security practices with the needs of the business.

John provides expertise and expert witness services to help companies address various matters related to digital forensics and eDiscovery, including leading investigations, ensuring proper preservation of evidence items and chain of custody. He develops processes, creates workflows, leads implementation projects as well as GDPR data mapping services for clients, including major financial institutions, Fortune 100 companies, Am Law 100 law firms, and many other organizations small and large. In addition, he provides expert witness services and consulting in matters of all sizes. His work spans some of the largest litigation and matters on record in the United States and many of the 46 countries where he has worked on cases.

John is a certified forensics examiner, licensed private investigator, and information technology veteran. In his over two decades of experience, he has worked with the U.S. government and both public and private companies. He serves clients in a variety of industries and is an advisor to outside counsel, general counsel, and in-house executives on best practices. John provides business and litigation consulting services to help companies address computer and device forensics, data retention, GDPR mapping, information governance, compliance, records management, and electronic discovery, including data identification, leading investigations, properly preserving evidence items, and ensuring chain of custody. In addition, John has extensive experience with international collections, large-scale collections distributed across diverse locations, Mac forensics, mobile forensics, social media forensics, and cloud forensics.

In John’s role as a computer forensics technologist, his clients have included private companies, public companies, and governmental agencies with operations in both national and international jurisdictions. As a computer forensics expert, he has testified as an expert witness in numerous local, state, federal, and international courts. Additionally, he has conducted dozens of national and international computer forensics investigations on behalf of law firms, companies, and governmental agencies such as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, individual Senate Oversight Committees, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Department of Justice.

John was the President of the High Technology Crimes Investigation Association Atlanta, GA Chapter, a member of the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists, Electronic Discovery Reference Model, Legal Technology Professionals Institute, and The Sedona Conference. John has participated in The Sedona Conference Working Group 1 (Electronic Document Retention and Production) and Working Group 6 (International Electronic Information Management, Discovery, and Disclosure). He also has participated in the EDRM Collection Standards and Investigations Projects and the LTPI Collection Standards group.


Evan Craghead

Chief Technology Officer

Evan Craghead currently serves as CTO of HaystackID responsible for the technology footprint of the organization. His team is committed to delivering customer satisfaction, improving employee productivity, and combatting the evolving security threats facing organizations today.

Evan has contributed to the growth of multiple legal technology providers and has held roles in both operations and technology. Over the years, his teams have created a number of innovative solutions for the complex matters faced by customers. He operates teams that are focused on superior service and continuous improvement.

Michael D. Sarlo is the Chief Innovation Officer at HaystackID, as well as a Partner and President of Global Investigations.


Rob Robinson

Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer, Rob Robinson is responsible for the strategic planning and tactical execution of all company marketing efforts in support of technologies and services.

Rob has held senior leadership positions with multiple top-tier legal technology providers and continues to write and regularly post on technology and marketing topics on the ComplexDiscovery(.com) blog. Rob also holds a certificate of eDiscovery from the Electronic Discovery and Evidence Training Institute and is a Certified E-Discovery Specialist.

Additionally, Rob has held product management and marketing leadership roles in technology-centric organizations, including Crossroads Systems (Director of Marketing – Storage Area Networking) and Compaq Computer Corporation (Product Marketing Manager – Deskpro and Prosignia Product Lines).

A former U.. Army captain and helicopter pilot (AH-1, OH-58, and UH-1) who served in Germany, Egypt, and the U.S., Rob is an alumnus of the University of Mississippi where he graduated cum laude and as a distinguished military graduate with a B.B.A. focusing on marketing and military history.


Pam Bartlett

Chief People Officer

Pam Bartlett currently serves as the Chief People Officer at HaystackID. Pam is a tenured, dedicated, Human Resources/Accounting executive with a strong background in talent management and development, recruitment, HR services, diversity and inclusion, events, accounts receivable/billing, office management, and organizational leadership. She has over 15 years of experience consulting on multifaceted projects, employee relations, and streamlining internal processes to enhance overall productivity, and has the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of employees, clients, and key business partners.


John Brewer

Chief Data Scientist

As HaystackID’s Chief Data Scientist, John focuses on bringing the latest advancements in internet technologies to the eDiscovery and incident response markets.

Having worked with HaystackID since 2015, John has been a software engineer and information technologist for more than two decades and has worked for dozens of Fortune 500 companies in technology leadership roles ranging from eDiscovery to data migration to information stewardship.


Tom Palladino

Chief Strategy Officer

Tom Palladino is Chief Strategy Officer of HaystackID. He leads the effort to establish HaystackID as a top-tier corporate discovery service provider. In his role Tom has been instrumental to company growth, new market opportunities, and client retention. He continues his work with the HaystackID executive team creating effective solutions to assist corporations in the management of data and systems. He is also co-leader of HaystackID’s Global Services team and is active in HaystackID’s EU operations.

Prior to joining HaystackID, Tom was President and COO of NightOwl Global, leading global company operations teams and product development for the legal corporate enterprise. Tom is active in working groups for EDRM, serves as a guest instructor at the University of Minnesota Law School, and participates as a member of The Sedona Conference. Before joining NightOwl Global, Tom was co-founder of Hire Quality, LLC, (prior to being acquired by the Perot Management Group) where he designed and deployed major service programs for Fortune 100 companies including UPS, Verizon, and Bank of America.



Adam Rubinger

Chief Client Experience Officer

Adam Rubinger is the Chief Client Experience Officer at HaystackID. Adam has over 20 years of experience and proven leadership in litigation support, information governance, as well as managing large-scale electronic discovery projects. He’s a technologist, lawyer, and expert in the area of electronic discovery, analytics, discovery workflow, and matter management.

In his role, Adam works directly with HaystackID’s clients on their eDiscovery team as the executive sponsor, ensuring they have the best experience possible. He provides guidance, consultation, and advice to the teams in all areas of the process, from collections to production. He is highly involved in most aspects of the portfolio and works at all levels of the organization to ensure a positive client experience. Given both his legal and technical background, he is an excellent liaison between the HaystackID team, the client, and their outside counsel.

Prior to joining HaystackID, Adam held management positions in operations, sales and consulting with NightOwl Global, IPRO Tech, TechLaw Solutions, Daticon/EED, and Fios, Inc. Adam has participated in The Sedona Conference Working Groups 1 and 6 and served as faculty in The Sedona Conference eDNT Training program. He has written many articles as well as CLEs dealing with emerging technologies such as social media, instant messaging, data migrations, analytics, and remote collection technologies. Adam is a graduate of the Hamline University School of Law and the University of Minnesota.


Ashish Prasad

Vice President and General Counsel

Ashish Prasad is widely regarded as among the leading experts on discovery in the United States. He has served, among other things, as litigation partner, founder, and Chair of the Mayer Brown LLP Electronic Discovery and Records Management Group; Adjunct Professor of Law at Northwestern University Law School; Executive Editor of The Sedona Principles; and Board Member of the E-Discovery Institute.

Ashish has edited three treatises, authored more than two dozen articles, and given hundreds of continuing legal education seminars on topics of electronic discovery and complex litigation before judges, practicing lawyers, and industry groups in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Ashish is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review, and the University of Michigan, where he graduated with high honors and high distinction.
