Kristin Lindsey, Vice President of Client Services at HaystackID, embodies this approach. She continuously fosters strong relationships and develops innovative solutions that empower her clients to excel.
With more than two decades of experience in the industry, Kristin has built a reputation for fostering strong client relationships and continuously seeking innovative ways to empower clients to excel. Known for her expertise and dedication, Kristin is not one to actively pursue the spotlight.
“I am the one behind the keyboard, looking for ways to solve our client’s challenges and mentoring my team so they can shine and elevate their careers. I find a tremendous amount of joy in working with our clients and helping them reach their goals,” she said in a recent interview on what motivates her to consistently deliver excellence for clients.
A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss
Kristin’s proactive, client-centric mindset made her a natural fit for HaystackID, where innovation and client satisfaction are at the core of everything we do. Joining the company in 2022, when asked what attracted her to the company, Kristin explained that it was the leadership’s commitment to seeking customer feedback and offering technology-powered solutions that improve efficiency for both the company and its clients.
“HaystackID truly values our clients’ voices. We work closely to design solutions that meet their unique challenges while driving forward technology that solves real problems,” she said.
In her role, Kristin oversees a talented team of Client Services Directors and eDiscovery Project Managers who collaborate with the Sales and Account Management teams to meet clients’ day-to-day needs. Beyond this, she also leads HaystackID’s training division, ensuring both internal teams and clients benefit from her client-first approach.
“Rather than waiting for clients to tell us their concerns, we actively solicit feedback to stay ahead of potential challenges,” she shared.
HaystackID’s Executive Vice President of Operations, Todd Haley, reinforced this approach in a recent article: “We have a philosophy at HaystackID that makes this possible. Even as we scale, we ensure we can customize our solutions for each client—no matter how big we get.”
This commitment to providing personalized solutions is what first drew Kristin to HaystackID.

One example of Kristin going above and beyond for her clients is her initiative to develop a customized reporting solution. She needed a quick and effective way to build tailored reports for clients so they could share case-related information with stakeholders at their organization. By leading the development of a solution that pulled key metrics across each phase of a matter’s workflow, her team eliminated the need for manually compiling in tools like Excel and sending reports.
“In this case, the customization allowed stakeholders at all levels to get the information they needed without being overwhelmed with data,” Kristin added.
Structuring for Success: A Team Approach
Delivering value to clients requires many moving parts to work together seamlessly, from the technology itself to the teams behind it. Kristin is committed to ensuring that her team operates at its highest level by creating learning opportunities for every team member.
“It harkens back to what we are trying to solve for our clients,” she says. “That’s why I mentor managers on my team and encourage them to give their reports opportunities to learn on the job. I firmly believe in training individuals on complex tasks rather than doing the work for them.”
Kristin’s strategic approach to structuring her team has been essential, especially in the high-stakes legal technology industry where resources are finite, and deadlines are often fast approaching.
To address these pressures, she has built her department into pods that operate across multiple time zones, ensuring a balanced workload while still delivering for clients.
“Excellent relationships with clients aren’t built just on having the fanciest tech. You need the tech, but you also need a strong team behind it to provide the necessary support and drive efficiency,” she said.
Commitment to Empowerment
Kristin recently had the opportunity to become involved in the HaystackID Armed Forces Empowerment Program, a meaningful initiative gthat HaystackID specifically designed the program to support the employment needs of active military personnel, veterans, reserve military members, and their spouses—particularly those who are licensed attorlneys, JDs, or paralegals. Recognizing the unique challenges that military families often face, especially with frequent relocations that make it difficult to maintain stable employment, HaystackID’s program provides flexible, work-from-home opportunities and customizable hours.
“It was an enriching experience to contribute to this meaningful program and witness the positive impact on our military community,” Kristin said.
