- Vazantha Meyers, Vice President of Discovery Services, HaystackID
Vazantha Meyers has over 16 years of extensive experience in all matters of discovery and has led managed review operations for the last 11 years. Ms. Meyers’s teams have managed both traditional first-pass reviews, complex issue coding and privilege reviews, and technology-assisted reviews, including predictive coding and continuous active learning. Ms. Meyers has developed standard operating procedures, discovery manuals, playbooks, and countless educational presentations related to discovery practices and managed review. Ms. Meyers also consults with over a dozen corporate clients on electronic discovery best practices, data preservation, and managed review workflows. Ms. Meyers is a member of HaystackID’s Corporate Consulting Group, also leads the company’s Diversity and Inclusion Group, and participates in the company’s Mentorship Program as a mentor.
Prior to joining HaystackID, Ms. Meyers worked as a litigation associate at Mayer Brown LLP, where she was a member of the eDiscovery and Records Management Group. Ms. Meyers is a contributing author to the book titled Electronic Discovery Deskbook: Litigation Management Policies and Procedures. In addition, she has written and contributed to several eDiscovery articles and white papers throughout her career. Ms. Meyers attended Valparaiso University School of Law, where she graduated as a Monsanto Honors Scholar. Ms. Meyers is an attorney in Illinois and provides pro bono services through non-profit organizations. Ms. Meyers is based in Chicago, IL.

As the president of ACEDS, Mike leads the organization and is responsible for the overall administrative and operational oversight of the organization, including program development, training and professional development, and strategic partnerships. Considered among the top legal technologists in the US, he has spent the last 20 years leveraging the power of technology to meet the current and emerging needs of organizations throughout the legal community. He is also the author of the 2016 book Project Management in Electronic Discovery and has been successfully consulting in information governance, e-discovery, project management and legal technology for all of his career, including 10-year stints at both Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. For much of his career Mike has been training and educating lawyers and other legal professionals in the benefits of technology to the legal profession. A graduate of the State University of New York, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS). He frequently speaks and writes on e-discovery, legal operations, project management and technology topics. Mike is an avid foodie and enjoys cooking and reading when he isn’t focused on developing new policy initiatives and educational offerings.
