Michael Cammack has extensive experience in the field of IT and Security. As VP of IT and Security at HaystackID, Cammack is responsible for leading the IT and Security controls team to achieve various certifications, such as ISO 27001 certification, SOC 2 Type 2 audits, and, most recently, HITRUST r2 certification. Before his role at HaystackID, Cammack worked at NightOwl Global from 2013 to 2020, where he served as the Director of IT and Security. During his tenure, Cammack played a key role in expanding the company’s presence internationally, establishing data centers in the US, EU, and APAC regions.

As the president of ACEDS, Mike leads the organization and is responsible for the overall administrative and operational oversight of the organization, including program development, training and professional development, and strategic partnerships. Considered among the top legal technologists in the US, he has spent the last 20 years leveraging the power of technology to meet the current and emerging needs of organizations throughout the legal community. He is also the author of the 2016 book Project Management in Electronic Discovery and has been successfully consulting in information governance, e-discovery, project management and legal technology for all of his career, including 10-year stints at both Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. For much of his career Mike has been training and educating lawyers and other legal professionals in the benefits of technology to the legal profession. A graduate of the State University of New York, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS). He frequently speaks and writes on e-discovery, legal operations, project management and technology topics. Mike is an avid foodie and enjoys cooking and reading when he isn’t focused on developing new policy initiatives and educational offerings.
