Expert Alexander Gessen Joins the HAYSTACKID Ranks

San Francisco, California (June 3, 2013)

Haystack Information Discovery (“”HAYSTACKID””), a leading provider of risk management and end-to-end technology-driven litigation 03preparedness and eDiscovery services, announced today that it has brought on board Alexander Gessen, a seasoned expert in computer forensics, litigation support, and information security, as its new National Director of Forensics.
Mr. Gessen, CCE, EnCE, CISSP, Security+, will be joining an already robust team at HAYSTACKID, while the company believes his vast experience spanning over three decades will be an invaluable resource in the complex and constantly evolving litigation support landscape. He began his career in the early 1980s as a senior software engineer, quickly moving on to a principal engineer position and then to Director of Research and Development. As a Director of R&D, Mr. Gessen oversaw the creation of a word processor that was named the best in the field by PC World
in 1985.
Mr. Gessen learned what it meant to be a small business owner and entrepreneur in the 1990s, then moved on to become a computer forensic examiner and the Head of Information Security for a Weston, Massachusetts-based firm in the 2000s. Throughout the past several years, he has worked as an eDiscovery consultant, associate, and computer forensics leader.
While he is EnCase certified, this hardly scratches the surface of Mr. Gessen’s immense expertise in all software associated with eDiscovery, information security and litigation support. He possesses acumen in virtually every type of software on the market, which will help strengthen HAYSTACKID’s long-standing commitment to vendor neutrality.

“We are proud to announce the hiring of Mr. Gessen, as we know that he will be a force in our firm throughout the coming years,” Jefferey Stevens, Chief Technology Officer of HAYSTACKID, said from the firm’s San Francisco office. “Alexander has consistently remained ahead of the curve when it comes to the progression of technology, acting as a trailblazer throughout the past three decades. His expertise in all of our various arms of the business made this the perfect fit for him and

HAYSTACKID.” HAYSTACKID’s entire team welcomes Mr. Gessen and looks forward to working with him in the fight to provide the most outstanding services to all clients. As HAYSTACKID’s National Director of Forensics, he will oversee all forensic processes at the firm.
