Expert Presentation
Session Title: Proactively Conquer Regulatory Alphabet Soup in 6 Steps (GDPR, CCPA, CFIUS, HIPAA, NYDFS, ETC.)
Session Description: To carry out the obligations imposed by multiple regulatory agencies across global jurisdictions, and to comply with numerous other US state, US federal, and international legal and operational requirements related to cyber-incidents, organizations must come to understand what personal information is collected from customers, business partners, and employees, that may have been exposed in a data breach both accurately and quickly. Also implicated is PII data you have managed or hosted with a 3rd party. But achieving that understanding is a significant challenge given widely dispersed unstructured data sources lacking centralized controls, complex and frequently changing business processes, and limited internal resources (people, process, and technology). Even more complex is operationalizing proper records classifications identifying critical and sensitive information and segregating it from business records, dark data, and ROT (redundant, obsolete/outdated, trivial/no business value).
