+ Bryant Isbell

Managing Director, Global eDiscovery and Data Advisory Group, Baker McKenzie

Bryant Isbell is the Managing Director of the Global eDiscovery and Data Advisory Group at Baker McKenzie. Bryant has more than 20 years of experience focusing on information governance, data privacy, full EDRM lifecycle execution and management, and data analytics. During Bryant’s career, he has worked on numerous FCPA Investigations, as well as other compliance investigations which have been pursued by many foreign governments. He is responsible for overseeing the collections of ESI and other evidentiary materials, as well as all production of documents to enforcement agencies and other counsel. Bryant handles all aspects of e-discovery and forensics globally for the firm. Additionally, he provides consultative advice to clients on the preservation, collection, processing, hosting and production of ESI. Bryant has successfully implemented analytics and Technology Assisted Review (TAR) workflows into client engagements to defensibly and efficiently reduce data volume and project cost. Bryant is an experienced professional in data privacy and international collection logistics, and has managed multiple complex projects in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia involving hundreds of millions of documents and thousands of reviewers worldwide. He is responsible for the strategic selection and implementation of electronic discovery tools for the firm, as well as training and professional development of the litigation support professionals. Bryant is also responsible for managing and overseeing the firm’s use of LPO’s, and contract attorney teams. Bryant is a member of the Sedona Conference Working Group on International Electronic Information Management and Disclosure, as well as Electronic Document Retention and Production. Bryant is also a frequent panelist on topics of project management, electronic discovery, and information governance at ILTA Con and Legal Tech New York. Bryant is a member of the Global Disputes Resolution Group’s e-Discovery Committee as well as the North American Litigation Practice Group’s e-Discovery Committee. He is on the Board of Directors of the UK Chapter of the Association of Certified eDiscovery specialists is also an adjunct professor for the Cleveland Marshall School of Law’s eDiscovery Distance Learning Program, and Ulster University Law School Innovations Center in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

+ Mary Mack

CEO, Chief Legal Technologist, EDRM

Mary Mack leads the EDRM, a project-based organization, and is the former Executive Director of a certification organization. Mack is known for her skills in relationship and community building as well as for the depth of her eDiscovery knowledge. Frequently sought out by media for comment on industry issues, and by conference organizers to participate, moderate a panel, lead a workshop or deliver a keynote. Mack is the author of A Process of Illumination: The Practical Guide to Electronic Discovery, considered by many to be the first popular book on eDiscovery. She is the co-editor of the Thomson Reuters West Treatise: eDiscovery for Corporate Counsel. Mack was also recently honored to be included in the book; 100 Fascinating Females Fighting Cyber Crime published by Cyber Ventures in May 2019. Mack has been certified in data forensics and telephony. Mack’s security certifications include the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and the CIAM (Certified Identity and Access Manager).

+ Inés Rubio

Senior Director, Technology, FTI Consulting

Inés Rubio is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Technology segment and is based in Dublin. She encourages customers to think beyond their present-day data difficulties, proactively creating the opportunity to discover new and useful solutions that will address challenges across their e-discovery, privacy and governance needs. Ms. Rubio has significant experience in privacy breach analysis and notification support matters. For more than ten years, Ms. Rubio has worked in e-discovery, data privacy and consulting services, supporting clients in legal firms and corporations by creating workflows that will help reach the full potential of people and technology. Her core expertise lies in using technology solutions to operationalize the management of data and designing workflows to understand their content. Ms. Rubio is an industry thought leader, regularly speaking at industry events discussing the crossover between e-discovery, data privacy and security awareness. She has also participated in webinars and podcast series on furthering education and security awareness for legal professionals. A great coordinator of people and complex engagements, Ms. Rubio focuses on how to create value for customers, ensuring an understanding of their needs but also encouraging them to build on what FTI Consulting provides, facilitating a long-lasting solution. Ms. Rubio was the recipient of the 2019 Security Leader award by the Women in Tech Awards, organized by the Dublin Tech Summit.

+ Jeff Shapiro

Jeff has a reputation for objective, consultative leadership and a proven track record in building large-scale operations. Jeff has long focused on giving back to the legal technology community in London, including his ACEDS UK volunteer work and vice president position as well as his past roles as the ILTA UK Litigation Support Chair and a Relativity User Group steering committee member.
