About the Meeting
The 2019 Annual Meeting breakfast will bring together Boston Bar members, their friends & colleagues, and leaders from area non-profits, government agencies, corporations, and a variety of professional sectors throughout the Commonwealth.
Join us for this thought-provoking conversation as Mr. Richard Rothstein talks about his 2017 book, The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America. He’ll discuss how decades of local, state, and federal housing policies that mandated segregation created a racial and cultural divide, and continue to have enormous and lasting impacts on American society today. In his book, Mr. Rothstein notes, “The segregation of our metropolitan areas today leads … to stagnant inequality.”
