Chad Pinson

Chief Executive Officer

Chad Pinson is the Chief Executive Officer of HaystackID, joining the company in January 2026 after serving as CEO and Managing Partner of Carr, Riggs & Ingram (CRI). At CRI, a top-25 accountancy firm with more than 70 offices and 2,000+ professionals, he led a broad, multi-disciplinary organization serving corporate and individual clients across industries—from Fortune 100 enterprises to mid-market companies and start-ups. In addition to core accounting, tax, attestation, and consulting services, CRI offered an integrated portfolio of complementary solutions such as payroll, trust and wealth management, SOC audits, professional sports and entertainment tax, data analytics, TPA services, and investment banking.

Prior to CRI, Chad spent a decade with Stroz Friedberg/Aon Cyber Solutions in senior leadership roles, including President and Executive Vice President, focused on eDiscovery, cybersecurity, investigations, incident response, and complex data matters. Earlier in his career, he was an equity partner at Baker Botts LLP, leading a national litigation practice with appearances in federal and state courts across 25 states and in multiple arbitration forums.

A sought-after speaker and author, Chad has delivered 125+ public speaking engagements and published 15+ articles and papers. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance (with honors) from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. (with honors) from Duke University School of Law.
