Hosted by the State Bar of Georgia’s E-Discovery & The Use of Technology Law Section, the program explores timely issues at the intersection of eDiscovery, artificial intelligence, privilege, and legal innovation.
The 2026 program features keynote speaker Dr. Maura Grossman, whose multidisciplinary work spans law, psychology, computer science, artificial intelligence, and evidence-based decision-making. Attendees will also hear perspectives on the role of generative AI in legal practice, privilege considerations in 2026, advancing and empowering the legal technology community, and issues facing the judiciary.

The Role of Generative AI in Legal Practice
Generative AI is reshaping legal practice well beyond document review. Bringing together in-house, law firm, technology, and service-provider perspectives, this panel examines how legal teams use GenAI for investigations, case assessment, factual and privilege analysis, work-product development, and trial preparation. Panelists will share what has worked, what has not, and what they learned along the way, including how to choose the right tool, weigh cost against efficiency, and recognize when GenAI is the wrong answer. They will also take on validation, defensibility, confidentiality, governance, and the judgment that still belongs to lawyers.
