The inaugural Chicago Meeting will be held at Zurich’s North America Headquarters in Schaumburg\, IL\, on June 14th. This single-day regional program is designed to supplement the education and thought leadership of EDI’s flagship Leadership Summit by offering the community the chance to gather and discuss the latest developments in law and technology in a more intimate setting. \nExpert Presentation \nCybersecurity Governance Requirements: The Role of Legal Departments in Achieving Compliance\nJune 14th\, 8:30-9:30am CST \nThe Cybersecurity Regulation of the New York Department of Financial Services contains prescriptive requirements for the cybersecurity programs of banks and insurance companies and has led to the adoption of similar requirements by regulatory agencies in other industries.  The recently proposed amendments to the Cybersecurity Regulation expand the governance practices and certifications required of senior executives and boards of directors.  The proposed amendments not only increase compliance risks for banks and insurance companies but also outline for companies in other industries what their regulatory agencies are considering.  This panel will describe in detail the proposed amendments to the Cybersecurity Regulation and explain what companies and legal departments in all industries should be doing to achieve compliance with enhanced cybersecurity regulations in the coming years.  \n+ Michael Sarlo (M)\, HaystackID\n+ Michael Booden\, HUB International\n+ Demetrius Rush\, Zurich NA\n+ Colleen M.
