Junior Data Engineer

Position Summary

The Junior Data Engineer is responsible for manipulating data from diverse sources and transforming it into formats suitable for collection, processing, and use by internal and external stakeholders. This individual must possess both technical expertise and domain knowledge to develop, update, and maintain data pipelines and tools.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyze incoming data to understand content and structure.
• Develop and implement processes for new data types and formats.
• Maintain and revise existing data workflows to accommodate API and export tool updates.
• Design and execute testing protocols for Data Engineering and Data Science tools.
• Participate reliably in internal calls and meetings.
• Adhere to all company data handling and security policies.
• Uphold professional and ethical standards in managing client data.

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in two or more of the following: SQL, C#, Bash, Python, R, Java, C, Powershell.
• Capability and willingness to work remotely with company-issued hardware.
• Access to a private and secure workspace for sensitive communications.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong communication skills to relay technical/business issues clearly within the Data Engineering team.

$60,000 – $80,000
