SUMMARY:[Webcast] The Rising Tide of DSARs: Transforming Access Requests from Compliance Burden to Strategic Capability
DESCRIPTION:[Webcast] The Rising Tide of DSARs: Transforming Access Requests from Compliance Burden to Strategic Capability\nData Subject Access Requests (DSARs) have emerged as one of the most complex and resource-intensive obligations under GDPR\, particularly for European employers. Driven largely by employee-initiated requests\, often in the context of workplace disputes\, DSAR volumes are increasing at an annual rate of 40–60%\, placing significant operational and financial strain on organizations. \nAt the same time\, regulatory scrutiny continues to intensify\, with access right violations forming a substantial portion of enforcement activity across European data protection authorities. \nA Roadmap for Scalable DSAR Response\nThis HaystackID® webcast will provide privacy\, legal\, and IT leaders with a practical framework for managing DSAR response at scale. Expert panelists will share the costs these requests impose on organizations\, where regulatory enforcement is headed\, and what it takes to build an operating model that holds up under pressure. \nA significant part of the webcast will focus on the foundational work that enables scalable DSAR response—data mapping\, Records of Processing Activities (ROPA)\, and governance frameworks—and on integrating legal\, privacy\, and IT functions into a unified workflow rather than a fragmented\, reactive process. \nSpecifically\, attendees will learn how to: \n\nBuild a scalable DSAR operating model grounded in data governance and cross-functional integration.\nLeverage AI to improve accuracy\, reduce manual review burden\, and lower the cost of response.\nTransition DSAR response from a compliance obligation into a strategic governance capability.\n\nEvent Details\nDuring this in-depth program\, panelists will also examine how defensible deletion and data minimization directly reduce both response costs and regulatory exposure. \n+ Original Date: Wednesday\, June 24\, 2026 \nExpert Panelists\n\n+ Esther Birnbaum \nEVP of Data Intelligence\, HaystackID \nEsther Birnbaum is the Executive Vice President of Data Intelligence at HaystackID\, where she leads strategic initiatives integrating advanced AI technologies and data solutions across legal\, compliance\, and governance workflows. SUMMARY:2026 National District Attorneys Association (NDAA) Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:2026 National District Attorneys Association (NDAA) Annual Conference\nJoin HaystackID® at the 2026 NDAA Annual Conference as prosecutors\, justice professionals\, and legal technology leaders gather to examine how innovation is reshaping prosecution strategy\, digital evidence management\, and courtroom readiness. Hosted by the National District Attorneys Association\, this year’s conference centers on the theme “Prosecution 2.0 – Technology in Action\, Justice in Focus. Empowering Every Prosecutor in Every Community\,” bringing attendees together for practical education\, peer networking\, and timely discussions around AI-assisted casework\, courtroom innovation\, policy developments\, and community-focused justice. \nThe 2026 NDAA Annual Conference is designed to help prosecutors and justice professionals strengthen their ability to serve their communities through modern tools\, emerging best practices\, and collaborative learning. Attendees can expect programming focused on technology in prosecution\, digital evidence\, policy updates\, and operational strategies\, along with opportunities to connect with national experts\, peers\, and solution providers working to modernize justice with fairness\, transparency\, and accountability at the center. \nExpert Presentation\nAI in Discovery: Managing Digital Evidence in the Age of Generative Technology\nTuesday\, July 14\, 2026\, 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM ET \nProsecutors are drowning in digital evidence. A single case can carry terabytes of data from phones\, cloud accounts\, body-worn cameras\, and social platforms\, and the discovery obligations attached to it have not gotten any lighter. This panel takes on a practical question that every DA’s office is now facing: how do you put AI to work within the eDiscovery and evidence-management workflow without sacrificing defensibility? HaystackID’s Chief Information Security Officer and President of Forensics\, John Wilson\, and Vice President and General Counsel\, Ashish Prasad\, lead two front-line prosecutors\, Deputy District Attorney Malak Behrouznami of San Diego County and Assistant District Attorney Cailin Campbell of Suffolk County\, through the workflow end to end: using AI to collect and cull the volume\, to surface the relevant material and the exculpatory faster\, to organize a case\, and to manage discovery production\, paired with the validation and human review that keep the process repeatable and defensible. The emphasis is operational: a workflow that an office can adopt. AI can help it find the truth\, but it cannot be allowed to decide it. The goal is to send prosecutors back to their jurisdictions with a clearer view of what the evidence establishes and what it only appears to establish. \n+ Ashish Prasad (M)\, HaystackID\n+ John Wilson\, HaystackID\n+ Malak Behrouznami\, San Diego County (CA) District Attorney’s Office\n+ Cailin Campbell\, Suffolk County (MA) District Attorney’s Office \nEvent Details \n+ Date: July 13-14\, 2026\n+ Venue: Hyatt Regency Boston\n+ Location: Boston\, MA \nLearn more about the 2026 NDAA Annual Conference. \nStrengthen Your Digital Evidence Strategy with the VALID™ Suite\nAs digital evidence becomes increasingly complex to authenticate and defend\, the HaystackID® VALID™ Suite empowers legal teams with a comprehensive framework for verification\, identification\, and authentication of digital media. This conference brings together law firm leaders\, legal operations professionals\, technologists\, corporate legal teams\, government representatives\, and industry partners for a multi-day program focused on education\, collaboration\, and practical insight for a rapidly evolving legal landscape. \nEvent Details \n+ Date: August 23-27\, 2026\n+ Venue: Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center\n+ Location: Nashville\, TN \nLearn more and register for ILTACON 2026. \nExpert Presentations\n\nLeading in Every Direction: Women Shaping Legal’s AI-Enabled Future\n\nMonday\, August 24\, 4:00 PM CT\n\nLeadership in legal does not always come with a title\, a large team\, or formal decision-making authority. Women in eDiscovery and legal technology are frequently called upon to influence senior leaders\, guide teams through change\, collaborate across functions\, manage client expectations\, and introduce new approaches\, often all at once.\n\nAs artificial intelligence reshapes legal work\, these leadership capabilities are becoming even more important. In this candid\, practical\, and interactive conversation\, three women leaders will share how they lead up\, lead across\, and lead within their teams; build credibility around emerging technology; advocate for responsible innovation; and navigate the unwritten dynamics that can affect women’s advancement. The panel will also examine the distinct roles of mentors\, allies\, advocates\, and sponsors\, and how women can cultivate those relationships while opening doors for others. \nThrough a realistic AI leadership scenario and brief audience exercises\, attendees will practice framing an executive recommendation\, influencing without formal authority\, and identifying one concrete sponsorship or allyship action. Attendees will leave with practical language\, strategies\, and actions they can use to strengthen their influence and lead change from wherever they sit. \n\n+ Nicole Rapp\, eDiscovery AI\n+ Maribel Rivera\, ACEDS\n+ Beth Finkel\, WiE\n+ Emily Bartkowicz\, Akerman LLP \nDocument Review Strategy Playbook: Mastering AI + Human Partnership\nThursday\, August 27\, 3:30 PM CT \nIn 2026\, the hallmark of a successful legal team is the ability to seamlessly integrate early technology-driven triage\, focused human judgment\, and Generative AI (GenAI) into a single\, cohesive workflow. This session provides a field-tested playbook for legal operations\, litigation support managers\, and discovery counsel to architect reviews that are not only faster but legally unassailable. \nHow can legal teams determine which review tasks must stay in human hands and which can safely migrate to GenAI without sacrificing quality\, privilege protection\, or defensibility? This session will answer that question\, with clear\, field-tested frameworks for integrating GenAI responsibly into document review workflows. \nAttendees will explore the review ecosystem\, moving from broad data reduction to high-stakes deposition prep. \n+ Jim Sullivan\, eDiscovery AI\n+ Murali Baddula\, Law In Order\n+ Jon Lavinder\, Epiq\n+ James Park\, DISCO \nLet’s Connect on Turning Data Overload Into Actionable Intelligence\nLegal and investigative teams are drowning in data that keeps growing faster than review teams can keep up with it. And traditional review models\, built on manual first-pass review and lengthy AI “seed-set” training\, struggle to keep pace with today’s data volumes without sacrificing speed\, accuracy\, or defensibility. \nHaystackID Intelligence Powered by eDiscovery AI® embeds a proprietary generative AI (GenAI) engine directly into the platforms teams already use. HaystackID delivers zero-training discovery\, up to 96% precision and 98% recall\, and multi-modal coverage across text\, audio\, and video\, all built on a defensible\, auditable “reasonable voice” protocol. From early case assessment and first-level review to privilege logs\, PII/PHI detection\, and deposition prep\, it turns raw data into actionable insight in days instead of weeks. \nStop by booth 241 at ILTACON to talk with our experts and see how we can help cut your review timelines and costs while strengthening the defensibility of your next matter. \n  \n\nAt HaystackID\, we are committed to fostering a safe and respectful environment for all event participants. We stand firmly against all forms of inappropriate behavior. As part of our dedication to ensuring a harassment-free experience\, we actively support and adhere to the principles outlined by the American Sociological Association (ASA) Working Group on Harassment and the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) Employer’s Pledge.
