The Sedona Conference Working Group 11 Midyear Meeting

October 29, 2024 - October 30, 2024

The Sedona Conference Working Group 11 Midyear Meeting 2024

As technology, privacy expectations, and legal frameworks evolve, developing fair, balanced, and thoughtful legal standards that promote justice while fostering innovation is critical. The Sedona Conference’s mission is to move the law forward in a reasoned and just way.

As part of this mission, the organization has formed working groups, including Working Group 11 (WG11). WG11 will hold its 2024 Midyear Meeting on Data Security and Privacy Liability at the end of October. HaystackID is an annual sponsor of the Working Group Series, where group members will focus on new drafts and brainstorming group outlines requiring WG11 member review and comment, including:

  • Potential Second Edition of the Commentary on Law Firm Data Security
  • Data Privacy Primer, Second Edition
  • Online Tracking
  • Individual Liability for Data Security Failures
  • Potential AI Projects Update

The meeting will also feature the following sessions:

  • Privacy and Data Security Regulator Roundtable
  • Privacy and Data Security Litigation Update (including recent SCOTUS jurisprudence)
  • WG11 Town Hall
